The intrepid author and TV show subject will be the youngest commencement speaker in West Virginia University's history.

The young journalist is scheduled to address the graduates of West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media at their commencement next month in Morgantown, W.Va., the college said Thursday.
Reed didn’t have a commencement speaker lined up for the media school — which will have about 250 graduates and an expected audience of about 2,000 — and wanted something different. “It’s really about bringing someone to inspire,” Reed said, “who’s different, who’s inspirational and a speaker our students will always remember.”
