आमतौर पर, वेतन आयोग 15 से 30 फीसदी तक की वृद्धि की सिफारिश करते हैं. पिछले वेतन आयोग ने लगभग 14-15 फीसदी की वृद्धि की सिफारिश की थी. मेरे अनुमान से 1.6 के बेस फैक्टर पर लागू होने वाला अतिरिक्त फिटमेंट फैक्टर 10-30 फीसद के बीच हो सकता है.” उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि यदि आधार फैक्टर 1.6 या 160 का 20 फीसदी लिया जाए, तो यह 32 होगा. इसे 160 में जोड़ने पर संशोधित फिटमेंट फैक्टर 192 या 1.92 होगा. यदि 30 फीसदी की वृद्धि मानी जाए, तो गणना इस प्रकार होगी: 160 का 30 परसेंट 48 है.
