The Nirmal Nagar police station has registered an FIR, and the Crime Branch-CID has joined the investigation. While a few individuals have been detained, further details about the incident are yet to be revealed.
Between 2000 and 2004, Siddique served as the chairman of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority ’s Mumbai Board, further enhancing his political influence. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, who also holds the Home Minister portfolio, has spoken to senior officials to review the situation surrounding Siddique's death. The investigation is ongoing.
