CPM activists welcomed the convicts in the Periya double murder case at Kannur Central Jail, calling for an end to political violence and condemning the right-wing media's alleged anti-Marxist stance. CPM leader P. Jayarajan, who was present, said that communists should not be intimidated by jail and that the convicts should be allowed to study in prison.
