The most recent WNBA champions, the Minnesota Lynx in 2017 and the Seattle Storm in 2018, were not invited to the White House. Among those at the ceremony were Reps. Bill Flores and Louie Gohmert, both Republicans from Texas, and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. “Am I allowed to wear it?” Trump asked of the hat, adjusting the brim in the back. “I’ll mess up my hear, but that’s okay, it is mine,” he added with a chuckle, before putting it on to cheers from the players.
