Krueger, a Princeton economist, served as chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers under Obama and as the chief economic adviser at the Labor Department under President Bill Clinton. A leading scholar on minimum wage and unemployment, Krueger joined the Princeton faculty in 1987."Alan will be deeply missed by his students and colleagues," Princeton said in a statement. The university did not specify the cause of death.
