“We're galvanizing a lot of folks who are not used to hearing a Kentucky politician talk like that,” Edelen said. “But all this mealy-mouthed stuff does is create animosity on both sides.”In the race's final stretch — there will be three debates before voting starts — Edelen has mostly turned his fire on Beshear. One of his TV spots introduces voters to his father, a farmer, to contrast with the front-runner and his famous name.
