LONDON, - People who use cannabis every day run a significantly higher risk of developing the serious mental illness psychosis, especially if they use more potent forms of the drug, such as skunk, scientists said.
Potent cannabis types with more than 10 percent of the psychoactive ingredient THC were linked to a five times greater risk. Many countries - including most recently Canada - have legalized or decriminalized cannabis use, leading to some concerns about increased use and its potential harm.
