Nipsey's Los Angeles legacy, however, isn't limited to music. He never made a secret of his history with the Crips, but after making it out of Crenshaw, he tried tirelessly to bring about peace in the streets. That was evident today as Snoop Dogg, long associated with the same gang, and YG, who has boasted connections to the rival Bloods, praised Nipsey in back-to-back speeches while echoing his call for unity.
