Fox News host Sean Hannity and Eric Trump this week attacked Democrats for holding what they claimed to be an unjustified hatred towards Donald Trump during a discussion on the president's performance in office.
“When you look at the charade you’ve been seeing over the last couple of days, it’s so sad because we’re doing so well and all the Democrats want to do is distract from that point," the businessman added, referring to the latest controversy over special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
“It tells you that they’re failing as a party,” Eric Trump concluded. “They don’t have a message, they don’t have proper leadership and [Trump’s] going to win this thing again, he’s going to win this thing in 2020 because they’re incredibly deranged.” Barr wrote in his summary, delivered nearly 48 hours after Mueller concluded his report, that the special counsel’s investigation “did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election.” However, Barr said Mueller neither exonerated nor indicted the president with regard to whether he obstructed justice.
The New York Times and the Washington Post on Tuesday revealed the existence of a letter sent to Barr by Mueller in the days after his summary was released in late March, where the latter complained that the former did not adequately represent his findings to the American people.
