FiatChrysler showed plug-in hybrid versions of the Jeep Renegade and Compass models at the Geneva Motor Show
A Jeep Renegade sport-utility vehicle plug-in hybrid on display on the opening day of the 89th Geneva International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. FiatChrysler showed plug-in hybrid versions of the Jeep Renegade and Compass models Tuesday at the Geneva Motor Show.
Both models will generate between 190 and 240 horsepower. The Renegade can accelerate from standstill to 60 miles per hour in about seven seconds. The Compass performance on that metric is yet to be certified. The instrument panel will include gauges and a touch screen designed to communicate various details about the improved fuel economy of the hybrid powertrain.
Jeep's sales in Europe rose 56% last year from 2017. Compass and Renegade are the brand's best and second best-selling models, respectively, on the continent.
