A large fire that broke out Sunday morning at a petrochemical storage facility near Houston was still burning into the night
, and the plant’s owner warned that it could continue to do so through Monday morning.
The fire at the Intercontinental Terminals Co. facility in Deer Park, Texas, was initially reported around 10:30 a.m. local time, authorities said. It was still raging at 11 p.m., and Deer Park officials had ordered residents in the city of about 33,000, located about 18 miles east of Houston, to shelter in place.
