Authorities say one of the women returned home to find that her neighbor, 57-year-old Lourdes Estremera, had set up a grill in her parking spot. A fight broke out shortly after.
A Philadelphia woman who decided to grill on the street, taking up a parking spot in the process, is now dead after a dispute over the small patch of road escalated to tragic proportions.
When police arrived on the scene, they reportedly broke up the fight and proceeded to interview the women involved. Estremera “became unresponsive” during her interview, police say, and when medical responders arrived at roughly 10 p.m., she was pronounced dead at the scene. Christian Rosa, Estremera’s son, told NBC Philadelphia that the incident is “the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with in my life.”
