Southwest cuts sales guidance after groundings of Boeing 737 MAX
Southwest Airlines Co. said Wednesday it expects lower sales in the current quarter as a result of 9,400 flight cancellations and general trends of softness in demand.
The new guidance comes after the company grounded Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft over public scrutiny of the same model associated with two plane crashes in recent months.
