Donald Trump once used a fake bidder to purchase a picture of himself at auction—just to ensure his own portrait would command the highest price, according to sworn testimony his former attorney Michael Cohen gave to a congressional committee on Wednesday. Cohen says the “straw bidder” shelled out $60,000 for the painting, only to be reimbursed by Trump’s charity, a move that may have violated the law.

He bought the apartment from the Trump Organization in 2004 for $13 million, making him neighbors with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump before their move to Washington, D.C.
