Trump’s Mexico tariffs criticized: President Donald Trump’s plan for new tariffs on Mexican products is “borderline crazy,” writes David Fickling, a Bloomberg Opinion columnist.

U.S. stocks SPX, -1.32% were falling Friday, with the drop blamed on the new tariffs. Trump said the new tariffs against all products imported from Mexico would stay in effect until the illegal immigration problem was solved. Pence due to give hawkish China speech: Vice President Mike Pence is planning to talk tough about China in a speech around the 30th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, according to a CNBC report citing sources described as familiar with the matter. The anniversary comes Tuesday.
