Following the discovery of an extensive welfare pension fraud scheme, 31 government employees from the Public Works Department have been suspended. The investigation revealed that these individuals fraudulently received pension funds, and they will be required to repay the embezzled amount with an 18% interest rate. Further departmental actions are also anticipated.

അനധികൃതമായി പെൻഷൻ കൈപ്പറ്റിയ 373 ജീവനക്കാർക്കെതിരെ ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പ് നടപടിയെടുത്തിരുന്നു. ഈ പണം 18 ശതമാനം പലിശയോടെ തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കും. ഇത് കൂടാതെ ജീവനക്കാർക്കെതിരെ വകുപ്പുതല നടപടിയുമുണ്ടാകും. അറ്റൻഡർമാർ, ക്ലർക്ക്, നഴ്സിംഗ് അസിസ്റ്റന്റുമാർ തുടങ്ങിയവർ തട്ടിപ്പ് നടത്തിയവരുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. അനര്‍ഹമായി ക്ഷേമപെന്‍ഷന്‍ വാങ്ങിയ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കെതിരെ കര്‍ശന നടപടിയുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി നേരത്തെ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
